Program Overview

The Technology Support Internship (TSI) is a hands-on, career-focused program that prepares students for today's and tomorrow's technology careers through real-world projects, ethical innovation, and AI-guided development. Students don't just study technology—they build, repair, automate, design, and deploy real systems used in their school and community.

TSI blends Information Technology, Robotics & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Business & Entrepreneurship. Students graduate with real technical experience, professional discipline, and future-ready skills.

Mission Statement

To empower students with practical, future-proof technical and professional skills through hands-on learning, ethical AI use, and real-world problem solving—while developing confidence, responsibility, and leadership.

The Educational Problem TSI Solves

Traditional instruction often separates theory from real application. The workforce, however, demands experience, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.

TSI directly addresses:

  • The growing technology workforce shortage
  • The widening gap between classroom education and job readiness
  • The urgent need for AI, cybersecurity, and automation literacy
  • Students who thrive in project-based, hands-on learning environments

TSI produces builders, thinkers, and problem-solvers—not just test-takers.

Core Learning Pillars

A. Information Technology & Technical Support

Students learn real IT support skills including:

  • Chromebook and device diagnostics & repair
  • Hardware troubleshooting
  • Network fundamentals
  • Ticketing systems and inventory tracking
  • Asset management using barcode systems

This teaches precision, documentation, accountability, and customer-level professionalism.

B. Robotics, Electronics & Engineering

Students design, assemble, and test real systems:

  • Mechanical structures and aluminum framing
  • Sensors, motors, and power distribution
  • Battery systems and energy management
  • 3D printing and fabrication
  • Autonomous navigation concepts

Students learn to prototype, fail safely, improve designs, and document engineering decisions.

C. Artificial Intelligence & AI-Guided Coding

TSI teaches coding the way it is done in the modern workforce—through AI-guided development combined with human logic and verification.

Students learn to:

  • Break problems into structured logic
  • Write effective AI prompts for development
  • Generate, test, debug, and refine code
  • Understand what the code does—not just paste it
  • Detect AI mistakes, bias, and security risks
  • Apply ethical standards to AI use

Rather than memorizing syntax alone, students learn how to think like developers and how to use AI as a tool—not a crutch. This allows both beginners and advanced students to build meaningful systems while developing deep understanding.

D. Cybersecurity & Digital Ethics

Students gain foundational cybersecurity awareness:

  • Network monitoring and basic defense concepts
  • Digital threats and prevention methods
  • Ethical hacking principles
  • Data privacy and responsible technology use
  • Understanding algorithmic bias and digital accountability

This builds trust, safety, and responsible innovation.

E. Entrepreneurship, Business & Professional Skills

Students learn how technology operates in the real economy:

  • Budgeting and cost estimation
  • Sourcing and procurement
  • Marketing and branding
  • Inventory control
  • Professional communication
  • Business ethics and operations
  • Client and donor relations

Students learn that innovation must be financially responsible to be sustainable.
